The Mission of St. John LaLande Parish
We, the members of St. John LaLande Parish, are a growing Catholic community with many gifts and many needs. As a people of faith challenged by the radical message of Jesus Christ, our mission is to come to know God more fully as we:
WORSHIP God in prayer and Eucharist,
Live as a welcoming COMMUNITY,
Be of SERVICE to others,
Hear and proclaim the MESSAGE of God.
Worship at St. John LaLande
Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. John 6:53-55
Liturgy of the Word
Therefore, brothers, stand firm and hold fast to the traditions that you were taught, both in our preaching and in our letter. 2 Thessalonians 2:14
The Sacrament of Reconciliation
. . . where the disciples were gathered together. . . Jesus came and stood in their midst and said to them,
“Peace be with you. . . As the Father has sent me, so I send you. . . Receive the Holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained." John 20:19-23
